Earlier in the year we’d popped into this property to replace a plate heat exchanger for the landlord, and at the time we’d informed him that the boiler was in a poor condition and would soon need to be replaced.
So, when the boiler finally gave up the ghost and their tenant had no hot water or heating he called us in again. We went around the very next day and installed a new combination boiler for him.
Unfortunately, that was not the end of this story because on testing we discovered that there was a gas leak, so we had to install new pipework at the same time.
We wanted the landlord to have a long and stress-free time with this new boiler, so we also fitted a magnetic system filter to protect it from sludge.
For their tenant’s convenience, and to comply with building regulations, we also installed a room thermostat, which the old system never had.
